Job Title: Fire Alarm Installer / Apprentice

Location: Bellmore, NY

Employment Type: Full-Time / Apprenticeship / Contract

Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Job Overview

One of our clients is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Installer / Apprentice to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with fire alarm systems, low-voltage electrical applications, and fire protection installations. This role involves installing, maintaining, inspecting, and troubleshooting fire alarm and related safety systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and service fire alarm systems and related fire protection equipment.

  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on existing fire alarm systems.

  • Conduct inspections and ensure systems comply with applicable safety codes and regulations.

  • Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and installation documentation.

  • Utilize hand tools and power tools for installation and maintenance activities.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of service calls, inspections, and installations.

  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding project requirements.

  • Stay updated on fire safety standards, codes, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience with fire alarm installation, service, or maintenance preferred.

  • Knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems.

  • Familiarity with fire alarm codes, NEC standards, and safety regulations.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Relevant fire alarm certifications or training are a plus.
