Unarmed Guard Position (Olympic Peninsula)

Responsibilities/Duties:
- Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents
- Conduct regular patrols
- Monitor activities
- Surveillance
- Access Control
- Safety escorts
- Using provided communication devices
- Represent SSNW’s brand
- Properly wear the issued uniform
- Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR)
- Complete Incident Reports
- Work with local law enforcement, and emergency services
- Provide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures.
- Other duties as described in the Post Orders
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Smart phone to access the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting.
- EMT background a plus
- Reliable transportation
- Honesty and Integrity
- Able to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to obtain a Washington State Unarmed Security Guard License
- Ability to react appropriately in high stress situations
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Reserve police officers encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of security protocols and equipment
- Security, Military, Law Enforcement: 5 years (Preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to conduct regular walking foot patrols
- Able to stand 8-12 hours a day
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally)
Schedule:
- 10-hour shift
- 12-hour shift
- 8-hour shift
- 4-hour shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $24.00 - $28.00
License/Certification:
- Security Guard License (Preferred)
