Responsibilities for Maintenance Director
-
Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance programs
-
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and life safety regulations
-
Maintain building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and emergency systems
-
Conduct routine inspections to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and regulatory risks
-
Coordinate and supervise vendors, contractors, and service providers
-
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations

Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, work orders, and compliance logs
-
Collaborate with administration and department leaders to support survey readiness
-
Participate in emergency preparedness planning and drills

Maintain a clean, safe, and resident-friendly environment at all times
Requirements for Maintenance Director

Proven experience in maintenance, facilities management, or plant operations (healthcare or long-term care preferred)

Strong knowledge of building systems, safety codes, and regulatory standards

Ability to manage preventative maintenance schedules and emergency repairs

Experience supervising vendors and managing maintenance budgets

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership and staff

Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
