Job DescriptionMaintenance Assistant

Key Responsibilities
• Cleaning & Environmental Upkeep
• Clean resident apartments, common areas, bathrooms, patios, and office spaces.
• Dust, vacuum, and remove trash daily in all assigned areas.
• Clean and wax kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room floors on scheduled cycles.
• Maintain sidewalks, entryways, courtyards, patios, and community exterior areas.
• Remove debris from community grounds and maintain courtyard furnishings.
• Repairs & Preventive Maintenance
• Assist with drywall repairs, touch-up painting, and other light carpentry tasks.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs and bathroom fixture maintenance.
• Clean and replace light fixtures and bulbs throughout the community.
Qualifications & Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies, maintenance tools, and safe equipment handling.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 pounds routinely.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Flexibility to perform multiple tasks and manage competing priorities.
• Ability to respond calmly and professionally in emergency situations.
• Prior experience in building maintenance or custodial work.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and chemical handling protocols.
