Job Description
As a Security Officer Driver Tablet Patrol in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal at a shelter location where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, offering variety throughout your shift while supporting access activities and positive interactions with residents, guests, and staff. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and when appropriate, emergency response support.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, common spaces, entry points, and perimeter areas, helping to identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and shared areas to help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or disruptive behavior while maintaining a professional presence.
- Support a welcoming environment by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and communicating respectfully with individuals who may need additional attention or assistance.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
