Senior Software Engineer — Agentic AI Workflows Vulnerability Research
Columbia, MD | Full Time | TS/SCI with Polygraph Required
Position: Senior Software Engineer / Analyst-Developer (Software Engineer, Level 3)
Location: Columbia, MD (on-site)
Category: Software Engineering / AI Systems / Vulnerability Research
Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Compensation: $200,000 – $250,000 (annualized USD)
Experience Requirement:

12+ years with a Bachelor's degree, OR

10+ years with a Master's degree, OR

4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Description
As a hybrid Analyst/Developer, you'll use your experience with LLMs and AI-integrated Python pipelines to drive high-impact initiatives. You will be part of every aspect of the development lifecycle of new tools and plugins, from conceptualization to deployment.
Your core focus will be architecting agentic Python automations, conducting vulnerability research, and analyzing complex technical data. You'll also innovate and document new tradecraft and manage strategic customer outreach.
Responsibilities

Design and deploy agentic AI workflows that leverage autonomous planning and tool-use to streamline internal operations and improve system efficiency.

Design, develop, and maintain automated workflows using Python.

Conduct vulnerability analysis.

Develop and document tradecraft.

Execute on customer requests.

Perform customer outreach.
Skills Requirements

Deep experience leveraging LLMs to solve complex problems, including expertise in prompt engineering and model optimization.

Proven ability to integrate AI into automated pipelines and production workflows using APIs and orchestration tools.

Strong Python experience.

Data parsing and manipulation.

Networking knowledge and protocols.

Experience with open-source research.

Familiarity with Git.

Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence).

Experience with vulnerability research and exploit development.

Prior experience in cyber operations or capability development.
Compensation Employment Policy
Salary is determined by multiple factors, including location, education, experience, skills, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $200,000 – $250,000 (annualized USD).
