Job Description

Job Overview:

Quality Control Technicians are responsible for maintaining quality assurance processes, testing products, and recording and analyzing results data during product development and manufacturing. Quality Control Technicians follow through on set processes and ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), product quality and ISO standards.


Essential Functions:

  • Review methods and standard operating procedures
  • Inspect components with measurement tools such as but not limited to caliper, micrometer, height gauge and plug gauges
  • Complete/create all production/receiving inspection control sheets and all related paperwork
  • Record all analysis and maintain a master file for traceability on each product
  • Take samples of materials (visual inspection)
  • Inspect all receiving of containers, boxes, and components; fill out appropriate receiving inspection paperwork
  • Research and development support
  • Inspect assembly operations and provide line clearances
  • Create Non-Conforming Material and Corrective Action Reports
  • Assist with customer complaints and related paperwork
  • Assist with supplier and customer quality issues
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements / Skills:

  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent
  • 3+ years of quality related experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Must be willing to work as part of a team
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions or specifications
  • Average computer skills working with Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a fast pace flexible environment


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 40-50lb pounds independently.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, pull, push, stoop, squat, bend and stretch as needed throughout the assigned eight-hour shift.
