Solid-works Designer / Developer
Summary:
Create 3D assembly designs using Solid-works modeling software.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop sheet metal parts and assemblies using various methods, such as: 2D technical drawings, replicating existing parts, and creating items from photos, verbal directions, hand sketches, etc.
- Wear all required PPE when working in the shop areas.
- Read and interpret technical drawings.
- Able to withstand environmental factors such as:
- Outside weather conditions
- High, precarious places
- Exposed to fumes and airborne particles
- Very loud noise level
- Required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms on a regular basis.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and seek assistance with weights over 50 lbs
- Occasionally perform other physical activities as required, such as:
- Stooping
- Bending
- Squatting
- Climbing
- Crawling
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
- Strong computer skills using various Microsoft and Graphic Art applications such as: Word, Excel, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, etc.
- Minimum 1 year experience using Solid-works in the workplace or highly proficient in the development of sheet metal parts using Solid-works.
- Some CAD experience working with 2D type drawings (.DXF and .DWG file types).
- Project management experience with demonstrated ownership of projects from concept through completion is a plus
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to pass Drug Screening, Work Ability Screening.
