The Fountain Group is currently seeking a HPC Infrastructure Engineer / Systems Administrator for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Shelton CT 06484. Details for the position are as follows:
Pay Rate : $80 to 85 Hourly - ONSITE
Title : Senior HPC Infrastructure Engineer / Systems Administrator
Duration : 7+ Months assignment, possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.
Location: 710 Bridgeport Ave, Shelton CT 06484
What to look for: Senior HPC Infrastructure Engineer / Systems Administrator supporting a production supercomputing environment with responsibilities spanning Linux administration, cluster operations, storage, hardware, cooling infrastructure, and operational project coordination.
- HPC / Linux Systems Administration in Data Center environments or similar – administration of HPC clusters, Linux/Unix environments, cluster management (HPCM, Slurm, PBS, Bright, etc.).
- Data Center Infrastructure – hands-on experience supporting enterprise servers, SGI/Cray hardware, cooling systems (CDUs/liquid cooling), hardware diagnostics, and operational support.
- Enterprise Storage – experience with large-scale storage environments (DMF preferred, Lustre, GPFS/Spectrum Scale, BeeGFS, NFS, etc.).
- Operations Coordination – able to lead weekly operational meetings, coordinate upgrades, manage infrastructure projects, and partner with site administrators and engineering teams.
