IT Infrastructure Project Coordinator
Functional Responsibility
- Provides day-to-day coordination of enterprise IT infrastructure implementation projects supporting Department of Transportation Headquarters and remote Federal facilities.
- Coordinates project schedules, logistics, procurement activities, material deliveries, workforce assignments, reporting, and customer communications across multiple simultaneous infrastructure initiatives.
- Supports implementation of structured cabling, fiber optic systems, LAN/WLAN deployments, audiovisual systems, physical access control systems, telecommunications infrastructure, and related technology modernization efforts.
- Coordinates directly with Program Management, engineering staff, Subject Matter Experts, ServiceNow administrators, logistics personnel, and field technicians to ensure project activities remain on schedule and all customer deliverables are completed accurately.
- Assists with project reporting, dashboard development, documentation management, inventory accountability, site surveys, implementation planning, travel coordination, and project closeout activities.
- Travel may be required to support customer coordination, implementation planning, and onsite project execution.
Minimum Education / General Experience / Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Business, or related field.
- Five to seven years supporting Federal IT infrastructure or telecommunications projects.
- CAPM, PMP, RTPM, or ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
- Background check required.
