Salary: $235,000–$385,000 + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

Direct Counsel represents an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a Mid-Level Real Estate Finance Associate to join its highly regarded Real Estate Practice in New York.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 2+ years of commercial real estate finance experience who is looking to work on sophisticated, high-value lending transactions representing institutional lenders in complex commercial real estate financings.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent lenders in the origination of large, structured commercial real estate finance transactions.
• Manage complex, multi-party transactions from due diligence through closing.
• Coordinate closing checklists and collaborate with paralegals and deal team members to ensure efficient transaction execution.
• Advise clients on a broad range of commercial real estate financing matters.
• Work closely with a collaborative national team on sophisticated real estate transactions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial real estate finance experience.
• Experience representing lenders in structured commercial real estate lending transactions.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex matters.
• Experience with mezzanine loans, preferred equity, asset management, or loan workouts is a plus.
• Excellent drafting, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong academic credentials.
• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction where the candidate intends to practice.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $235,000–$385,000, depending on experience.
• Discretionary performance bonus.
