I'm working a search for an Infrastructure Engineering Lead to join the enterprise infrastructure team of a global proprietary trading firm, based in Chicago. You'd be leading a small team of engineers and owning the systems behind the firm's global trading workstation, the front-end infrastructure every trader at the firm relies on, so this sits right at the intersection of hands-on technical ownership and people leadership.

What you'll be doing:

- Leading and mentoring a team of infrastructure engineers based in Chicago
- Owning and developing the global trading workstation infrastructure, directly shaping the systems traders use every day
- Driving automation and infrastructure-as-code practices using Python, PowerShell, and Terraform
- Owning critical systems across VMware, Windows Server, NetApp, and related enterprise infrastructure
- Partnering with cross-functional teams globally to keep systems reliable, scalable, and operationally sound
- Setting the tone on team culture, communication, and ways of working
- Shaping the long-term technical direction of the infrastructure as the business scales
- Driving observability and proactive monitoring across all platforms

What you'll bring:
\n
- \n
- 3+ years in a lead or mentoring capacity managing technical teams
- Strong infrastructure engineering background with deep hands-on experience (or genuine willingness to go deep) in Python, PowerShell, or Terraform
- Solid experience with virtualization infrastructure, Windows Server management and debugging, and NetApp or similar enterprise storage
- Good grounding in Active Directory, DNS, and core networking concepts
- Exposure to observability stacks such as SCOM, Telegraf/Influx/Grafana, or Prometheus
