The Programmer will design, develop, maintain and support corporate software applications and EDI programs on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) using RPG/LE, SQL and CL.
The Programmer will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Coordinate and manage corporate IT projects.
- Work on all aspects of software application development including:
- Requirements Definition
- Technical Design
- Programming/Testing
- Implementation
- Support and maintain existing software applications including troubleshooting software “bugs' and applying software patches, fixes, and upgrades
- Train users on new corporate software applications
- Document program changes/enhancements related to corporate software
- Bar coding
- Other miscellaneous duties as required
Position Requirements
- Self starter - Must have at least five years operations/programming experience in an IBM iSeries (AS/400) environment.
- Must be proficient with RPG (III,LE & Free), CL, SQL programming languages
- Experience with EDI mapping
- Experience with IBMi Operations
- Experience with Turning Point/DISTRACK or other distribution software helpful
- Strong writing and oral communication skills
- Project management skills
- Proficiency in MS/Office
- Able to work constructively and independently
- Able to work on multiple consecutive projects
- Must work on-site
