Position Summary
LAZ Parking is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Maintenance Porter Associate to ensure our parking garages and surface lots remain clean, safe, and well-maintained. This role combines facility maintenance responsibilities with customer service support, requiring an individual who can work independently while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of parking garages and surface lots on a daily basis.
- Sweep, clean, and sanitize assigned areas.
- Empty trash receptacles and remove litter throughout the property.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks, including:
- Changing light bulbs
- Painting
- Wiping down equipment and surfaces
- Assist with sidewalk, garage, and common area upkeep.
- Operate floor sweepers and scrubbers as needed to maintain clean and safe conditions.
- Complete all daily maintenance checklist tasks accurately and on time.
- Assist customers within garages and surface lots as needed.
- Respond to customer inquiries through intercom systems, parking office interactions, lobby areas, and exit/entry lanes.
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and helpful attitude at all times.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and efficiently.
- Build positive relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of maintenance, janitorial, porter, or related experience.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to speak, read, and understand English.
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrates urgency, reliability, and strong time-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision.
- Strong commitment to customer service and professionalism.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, squat, and lift throughout a shift.
- Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and a golf cart.
