JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Inspector I is responsible for following detailed work instructions to perform basic inspections on fabricated aerospace products for conformance to customer engineering specifications while adhering to NADCAP and AS9100 system requirements.
REPORTS TO
The Quality Assurance Inspector I directly reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITIONEducation, Training, and/or Experience
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Quality Assurance preferred
- Knowledge of NADCAP and AS9100 standards preferred
- Familiarity with ERP systems preferred
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
- Frequently required to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequently required to use eye‐hand coordination, repetitive hand movements and manual dexterity to handle or feel
- Frequently bend, reach to shoulder level and lift, carrying, twisting, pushing and/or pulling up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Hearing level within normal/average range
- Work in machining, production and cleanroom environments, as required
- Work in the presence of hazardous chemicals and/or occupational noise exposure, as required (PPE provided)

- Ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering drawings preferred
- Basic computer fluency

- Ability to work independently and in a team with no/minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Good investigative and problem-solving skills; ability to think logically and methodically
- Ability and willingness to acclimate to the company culture and development goals
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEssential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Read and interpret requirements from customer specifications
- Utilize precision measuring tools (e.g., scales, calipers, micrometers) properly
- Inspect composite parts to ensure conformity
- Document part nonconformance and generate nonconformance reports
- Enter data into ERP system
- Correspond with other departments in a professional manner
- Other duties as assigned
