As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for mechanical and electrical repairs throughout the plant, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install equipment in compliance with all plant policies and procedures.
- Work with machinery and mechanical equipment, including motors, pneumatic and hydraulic components, conveyor systems, and production line equipment.
- Read diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications for installations.
- Use hand tools, power tools, precision-measuring devices, and testing instruments.
- Maintain all company assets at the highest level of availability by executing the preventive maintenance schedule.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot root causes of equipment issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with operators on process improvements and train them on routine preventative maintenance.
- Support engineering and continuous improvement projects, including trials and installations.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the maintenance department and after completing jobs.
- Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Essential Skills
- Electrical troubleshooting and repair.
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience with hydraulic components.
- Preventive maintenance.
- Basic PLC troubleshooting.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools such as Meger Meter, Multi-Meter, Amp Probe, and Infrared Thermometer.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics, or electrical troubleshooting abilities.
- Familiarity with schematics, welding, HVAC, and maintenance repair.

Work Environment
Work in an industrial manufacturing environment with 16 press machines, 2 cutting machines, and 2 forming machines. The facility is well lit but can become warm with all presses running. Shifts available: 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, and 3rd shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gainesville, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
