Position Summary

The Director of Information Technology provides strategic and operational leadership for Addium's IT organization, overseeing infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, and technology operations. Reporting to the CIO, this role partners with business leaders to deliver secure, scalable technology solutions that drive operational excellence, digital transformation, and business growth. The Director leads internal and offshore IT teams, manages key technology vendors, and champions innovation through systems integration, process automation, and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Collaborate with the CIO to define and execute the companys IT strategy, policies, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to drive innovation and ensure competitive advantage.
  • Develop IT budgets, forecasts, and investment strategies aligned with Addiums business priorities.
  • Thought leadership and systems thinking, with the ability to see across platforms, processes, and teams to design scalable, integrated IT solutions that align with business priorities


Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Security, Operations, and Business Leaders.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer service within IT.


Technology & Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, cloud systems, and enterprise applications to ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience.
  • Lead IT architecture planning, system integration, and lifecycle management of enterprise systems.
  • Manage offshore resources and partnerships with managed service providers (MSPs) to optimize operations and cost efficiency.
  • Establish disaster recovery, business continuity, and data protection strategies.


Business Systems & Applications

  • Provide leadership and governance for enterprise business systems, including Salesforce (CRM), NetSuite (ERP), Stripe (payments), Avalara (tax compliance), and Okta (identity and access management).
  • Partner with Finance, Sales, Operations, and other departments to optimize workflows and integrate business systems.
  • Oversee system administration, upgrades, vendor management, and application performance.


Vendor & Partner Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors, SaaS providers, and service partners.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage renewals, and drive cost optimization strategies.
  • Ensure vendors deliver against SLAs, compliance standards, and performance expectations.
  • Regularly evaluate vendor performance and introduce new partners to support innovation and efficiency.


Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Ensure robust cybersecurity frameworks and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage risk assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response protocols.
  • Partner with compliance, legal, and risk teams to meet governance requirements.


Operational Excellence

  • Lead day-to-day IT operations, including helpdesk, system administration, and end-user support.
  • Drive process automation and workflow optimization across departments to reduce manual touchpoints.
  • Streamline business processes by integrating and enhancing enterprise systems, improving data flows, and eliminating redundancies.
  • Partner with Finance to enhance financial reconciliation processes, leveraging automation between systems like NetSuite, Stripe, and Avalara.
  • Implement IT service management (ITSM) frameworks for continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Monitor KPIs and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure IT performance, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
  • Champion a data-driven culture, ensuring business leaders have accurate, timely, and reconciled information for decision-making.


Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team across infrastructure, applications, security, and support.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration within the IT department.
  • Effectively manage and coordinate offshore IT teams to ensure consistent global support coverage.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Masters degree or MBA preferred.
  • 12+ years in IT leadership roles, with at least 5 years managing cross-functional IT teams at the departmental or enterprise level.
  • Proven expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud (AWS/Azure), enterprise applications (ERP/CRM), and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Strong hands-on experience with business systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Stripe, Avalara, Celigo(iPaaS), and Okta.
  • Track record of managing offshore resources and MSPs to deliver operational excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of IT governance, compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.), and risk management.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital transformation, automation, and modern IT operations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution.
