Job Description
What you will be doing:
- Advise institutional investors, developers, and private equity clients on a wide range of commercial real estate matters.
- Structure and execute acquisitions, dispositions, and financings across diverse asset classes (office, retail, logistics, healthcare/senior living, student housing, hospitality, data centers).
- Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, commercial leases, and joint venture agreements.
- Conduct and manage due diligence, including title, survey, environmental, and zoning reviews.
- Advise on development projects from entitlement through completion.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across tax, construction, planning & zoning, and other practice areas.
- Support clients with day-to-day operational real estate matters, including lease amendments, assignments, subleases, and tenant issues.
Experience you will need:
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
- 5 – 7 years of commercial real estate experience at a nationally recognized law firm.
- Admission to the Colorado bar (or admission pending).
- Demonstrated experience in real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing.
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience with multi-jurisdictional transactions.
- Familiarity with real estate development and capital markets structures.
- Exposure to institutional clients, private equity funds, and REITs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commercial mindset with a client-first approach.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
