Job Title: Senior Software Engineer Location: San Jose, CA Type: Contract Compensation: $65- $73/hr Work Model: Onsite Hours: 9am - 5pm
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies for embedded software, firmware, and hardware-integrated products.
- Analyze requirements and create detailed test cases, test plans, and test protocols.
- Perform manual and automated testing of embedded systems, especially HW and SW/FW, and document results.
- Troubleshoot defects, perform root cause analysis, and verify outcomes.
- Use command-line tools, log files, physical probing, and other electrical or mechanical test methods as needed.
- Prepare clear and accurate test reports summarizing execution results, defects, trends, corrective actions, and verification outcomes.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and project teams to ensure testing activities align with project timelines and quality standards.
- Continuously improve testing methods and overall product quality.
Requirements
- Analyze requirements and create detailed test cases, test plans, and test protocols.
- Manual and automated testing experience with embedded systems, including hardware and firmware.
- Troubleshoot defects and conduct root cause analysis.
- Use command-line tools (nice to have).
- Working knowledge of C++ and C# (nice to have).
- FDA product experience and regulatory knowledge (510K submissions) (nice to have).
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
