As a SSecurity Officer - Full Time in Cedar Rapids, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will coordinate communications, monitor activity, and support timely responses to security-related incidents. You will maintain clear records, assist with access and visitor coordination, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Coordinate dispatch communications for security-related personnel, incoming calls, service requests, alarms, and incidents using radios, phones, and applicable reporting systems.
- Monitor access points, visitor activity, delivery traffic, and operational areas, documenting relevant details and communicating concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, dispatching available resources and following established escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and designated operational spaces; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
