Job Description
As a Security Officer Screening Associate in North Brunswick, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry activity, conduct screening procedures, and support security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to all visitors, vendors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen individuals, packages, bags, and/or deliveries entering or leaving the location in accordance with post instructions and security-related procedures for a logistics and distribution environment.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through required logs, reports, and communication channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, entry points, loading and unloading zones, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
