Job Description

Project Executive

\n

Charlotte, NC

\n

$120,000 - $165,000

\n

\n

We are working with a well-established commercial general contractor in Central Florida that specializes in retail construction, both ground-up and renovation, for national and regional brands across the Southeast. The company has been building for more than two decades and has grown into a mid-large sized firm with a deep project pipeline and a team of more than 100 construction professionals, while holding onto the relationship-driven culture it was founded on. Candidates get the resources and repeat clients of a larger firm in an environment where every project and every person on the team matters. They are looking for a Project Executive to provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of retail projects and help drive the next stage of the company's growth in Charlotte, NC

\n

\n

What You'll Do

\n

    \n
  • Oversee a portfolio of retail ground-up and renovation projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • \n

  • Lead, mentor, and manage Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and Project Engineers, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and safety
  • \n

  • Serve as the primary executive contact for key clients and build relationships that drive repeat business
  • \n

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards
  • \n

  • Review project schedules, budgets, contracts, and risk management plans, and step in early to address issues, delays, or cost overruns
  • \n

  • Oversee project financial performance including budgets, forecasts, and profit margins, and approve major expenditures, change orders, and contracts
  • \n

  • Establish and enforce standard operating procedures and best practices across the portfolio
  • \n

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies, and lead safety initiatives across project teams
  • \n

  • Provide input on project pursuit strategy, review bids, proposals, estimates, and contract terms, and support negotiations and business development efforts
  • \n

  • Lead executive-level project meetings and presentations with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
  • \n

\n

\n

What You'll Bring

\n

    \n
  • 12+ years of construction management experience with a proven track record on large, complex commercial projects
  • \n

  • 5+ years in a senior leadership or executive role overseeing multiple projects at once
  • \n

  • Retail construction experience, ground-up and renovation, strongly preferred
  • \n

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; Master's degree a plus
  • \n

  • Deep understanding of construction processes, contracts, and delivery methods
  • \n

  • Strong financial acumen and budget management experience
  • \n

  • Excellent leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills
  • \n

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities with clients, design teams, and subcontractors
  • \n

  • Strong problem-solving and risk management capabilities
  • \n

  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
  • \n

\n

\n

What You'll Gain

\n

    \n
  • Salary range of $120,000 - $165,000 based on experience
  • \n

  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • \n

  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • \n

  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • \n

  • An executive seat with a growing firm and a deep pipeline of retail work
  • \n

  • The resources and repeat clients of a larger firm with the visibility and impact of a close-knit leadership team
  • \n

\n

\n

At Framework, we keep it simple: we connect great people with great builders. We're not just filling seats - we're helping construction professionals find real opportunities with companies that value what they bring to the table. Our candidates trust us because we're honest, we follow through, and we never push roles that aren't the right fit. We take the time to understand where you're coming from and where you want to go.

\n

\n

The builders we represent are more than just clients to us. Many of them are friends and longtime partners. If we wouldn't feel confident working for them ourselves, we wouldn't introduce them to the people who trust us with their careers.

\n

On the flip side, our clients count on us to bring high-quality people who are the real deal - both in skill and character.

\n

\n

They'll tell you we just get it. We're proud to be the kind of recruiters who do what's right, not what's easy, and we make sure it's a win for everyone involved.
