As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Gatehouse in Mabelvale, AR, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $15.24 / Hour
Must be able to work all shifts and all days of the week

How This Role Works:
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor and control access points by checking credentials, authorizing entry and/or exit, maintaining visitor and delivery records, and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and supporting security-related response efforts according to post instructions.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, loading areas, trailer yards, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify conditions that may need attention.
- Communicate clearly with site personnel, drivers, and/or visitors regarding entry procedures, restricted areas, and shipment-related traffic flow while maintaining professional conduct at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
