As a Security Officer Patrol and Badging in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer at a dynamic tech and media location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in a technology and media location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify potential issues.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and support orderly entry and exit procedures in accordance with location guidelines.
- Communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or public emergency responders as needed regarding security-related matters, alarms, and/or requests for assistance.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
