• Grounding system meets telecom standards (≤25 ohms, #6 AWG copper)

Equipment Space & Environment

• Assess Telco room or equipment area for:
• Adequate space and accessibility
• Mounting surface (fire-rated backboard or rack space)
• Validate environmental conditions:
• Temperature (55–85°ree;F)
• Humidity ≤70%
• Clean, dust-free, low vibration space

Pathway & Conduit Assessment

• Evaluate pathway from building entry point to equipment location
• Document any interior conduit path from entry to DEMARC if it exists between floors or across interior ceilings
• Identify:
• Existing conduit vs. new requirements
• Clear routing path with pull capability
• Coordinate with building management for access and approvals
• Verify conduit size and take a picture to illustrate the potential of placing another cable(fiber) in the conduit

OSP Interface & Access

• Identify external infrastructure:
• Handholes, manholes, pedestals, and fiber entry points
• Assess feasibility of fiber routing from right-of-way to building
• Note permitting or construction constraints

Reporting & Recommendations

• Deliver clear, accurate survey reports including:
• Site conditions and deficiencies
• Required customer actions vs. provider scope
• Provide constructability insights to reduce delays and rework

Qualifications Required

• 2+ years telecom, OSP/ISP, or field inspection experience
• Basic understanding of fiber networks and telecom infrastructure
• Ability to read site layouts and document field conditions
• Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
• Experience with fiber deployments (FTTH, enterprise)
• Familiarity with permitting and utility coordination

Key Deliverables

• Completed site survey checklist
• Photo documentation and aerial views using PowerPoint
• Marked-up site diagrams
• Actionable readiness report
