About the Role:
1ABOVE QUALITY SERVICES LLC is looking for a motivated and hands-on Working Team Lead to oversee Federal Custodial Services in Norfolk, VA. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and work alongside custodial team members to ensure federal facility cleanliness standards are met
- Perform hands-on janitorial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing restrooms, and trash removal
- Assign tasks and manage daily workflow to ensure efficient completion of custodial operations
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify compliance with federal contract requirements and standards
- Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting shortages to management
- Ensure adherence to OSHA safety regulations and federal facility security protocols
Requirements:
- Prior experience in commercial or federal custodial/janitorial services required
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance or building access credentials
- Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and industry best practices
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, and moving for extended periods
