About the Role:
The Leasing Consultant plays a pivotal role in driving occupancy and revenue growth by effectively marketing and leasing apartments. This position requires building strong relationships with prospective tenants, understanding their needs, and guiding them through the leasing process to ensure a positive experience. The Leasing Consultant is responsible for showcasing available units, explaining lease terms, and facilitating lease agreements while maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and company policies. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with property management and maintenance teams to ensure tenant satisfaction and retention. Ultimately, the Leasing Consultant contributes to the overall success of the property by maximizing lease conversions and fostering a welcoming community environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in leasing, sales, or customer service, preferably in real estate or property management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with property management software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Experience with CRM and leasing software such as Yardi, Entrata, or AppFolio.
- Knowledge of fair housing laws and local rental regulations.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding leasing goals.
- Bilingual abilities to serve a diverse tenant population.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and engage prospective tenants, providing detailed information about available properties and amenities.
- Conduct property tours and highlight key features to match tenant needs and preferences.
- Process rental applications, perform background and credit checks, and prepare lease agreements in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of leasing activity, tenant communications, and lease documentation.
- Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams to address tenant concerns and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants and maintain high occupancy rates.
- Stay informed about local rental market trends and competitor offerings to effectively position the property.
- Ensure compliance with fair housing laws and company policies throughout the leasing process.
