Silver Shield Inc. currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Officer to join our team. The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires strong surveillance skills, conflict management abilities, and knowledge of law enforcement procedures.
Shifts Available:
Evening overnight and weekend shifts available
Duties:
- Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect any suspicious activity.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Provide assistance and guidance to employees and visitors in emergency situations.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain order and prevent unauthorized access.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks or hazards.
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of daily activities.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary.
Skills:
- Strong surveillance skills to effectively monitor premises using CCTV systems.
- Excellent conflict management abilities to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally.
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures, including arrest techniques and legal rights.
- CPR certification and first aid training to provide immediate medical assistance if needed.
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies to prevent theft or damage to property.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven work experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role preferred
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
We will help you get your Level II certification within the first 30 days if you dont already have it.
