  • Evaluate maintenance needs and determine when to involve outside contractors
  • Respond to routine and emergency maintenance issues, including on-call shifts
  • Maintain clear documentation of all maintenance work, inspections, and repairs
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and safety protocols
  • Support procurement of materials, tools, and services for ongoing maintenance work
  • Collaborate with Risk Management to monitor safety standards and job completion quality
  • Conduct performance evaluations and contribute to team development
  • Attend required trainings, meetings, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

Ideal Candidate Background

  • 5+ years of experience in building maintenance, construction, or facilities repair
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or lead technician role
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, safety standards, and maintenance best practices
  • Skilled in organizing teams, setting priorities, and resolving technical challenges
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid California driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Able to pass live scan, TB test, drug screening, and meet other compliance requirements
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Why This Role?

  • Be part of a mission-driven organization serving the community
  • Lead a team of dedicated professionals in a stable work environment
  • Enjoy a hands-on role with a balance of leadership and field work
  • Opportunity to make a real impact on facility operations and safety
