Building Maintenance Technician (Part-Time)
Creature Comforts Pet Resort Angola & Tonawanda, NY
Do you enjoy solving problems, working with your hands, and taking pride in keeping facilities looking and operating at their best? Creature Comforts Pet Resort is looking for a dependable, skilled, and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Technician to help maintain our two busy pet care facilities.
This is a part-time position requiring travel between our Angola and Tonawanda locations.
What You'll Do
No two days are ever the same! One day you may be repairing a fence, and the next you could be patching drywall, troubleshooting a plumbing issue, or preparing the property for winter weather. You'll play an essential role in keeping our buildings, grounds, and equipment safe, functional, and attractive.
Responsibilities include:
- General building repairs and preventative maintenance
- Drywall, painting, carpentry, and minor plumbing and electrical repairs
- Fence, gate, kennel, and building repairs
- Landscaping, lawn care, mulching, and seasonal grounds maintenance
- Snow removal and ice management during winter months
- Equipment maintenance and minor repairs
- Routine building inspections and preventative maintenance
- Identifying and correcting safety hazards before they become problems
- Maintaining OSHA-conscious, safe working environments
- Assisting with facility improvement projects
- Responding to maintenance requests as needed
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and experience in multiple skilled trades.
Qualifications:
- Experience in general building maintenance and repair
- Knowledge of carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical work
- Experience operating landscaping and snow removal equipment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work indoors and outdoors in all seasons
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation between both facilities

This position is responsible for helping ensure both facilities remain safe for our employees, clients, andmost importantlyour animals. You'll be expected to proactively identify maintenance issues, eliminate hazards, and recommend improvements that help prevent accidents and equipment failures.
