This role focuses on diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical issues on the manufacturing floor. You will support process, production, and facility equipment, ensuring that all plant machinery and systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. The position requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills, hands-on repair experience, and the ability to work independently on night shifts in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical issues on the manufacturing floor for process, production, and facility equipment.
- Engage in the repair and maintenance of conveyor lines, ovens, furnaces, stamping equipment, controls, drives, sensors, PLCs, robotic machinery, and related components.
- Lead and coordinate activities and repairs in response to equipment failures, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Ensure equipment failures are resolved in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
- Document daily maintenance activities accurately in the maintenance CMMS system (eMaint).
- Plan, coordinate, and implement 5S standards in all maintenance areas, including personal work areas, the shop, and drill repair areas.
- Communicate effectively with all relevant positions to complete assigned projects and keep plant equipment and facilities in proper working order.
- Generate and provide accurate information to secure necessary parts and materials to complete projects and repairs.
- Participate in preventive maintenance (PM) events across all areas as needed to improve equipment reliability.
- Monitor all emergency breakdown calls and respond promptly, calling for additional technical assistance when necessary.
- Perform drives and controls repairs, including troubleshooting and replacing faulty components as required.
- Utilize a multimeter and other diagnostic tools to test circuits, components, and systems.
- Perform wiring, panel work, and electrical terminations according to schematics and blueprints.
- Apply mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills, including manual machining, to support equipment repair and modification.
- Troubleshoot PLCs and support robotics systems to maintain automated equipment performance.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting and problem solving in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with motors, motor controls, and drives troubleshooting.
- Ability to use a multimeter confidently for diagnostics and testing.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Experience performing electrical repairs on industrial equipment and systems.
- Competence in drives and controls repair, including identifying and replacing faulty components.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills for controls, drives, sensors, PLCs, and robotic machinery.
- Ability to work night shifts (6:45 pm – 7:15 am) on a 2-on/2-off, 3-on/3-off schedule.
- Capability to work safely and effectively in a hot, dirty industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with other roles and departments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to support mechanical repairs as needed.
- Fabrication experience, including manual machining, to assist with equipment modifications and repairs.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting in a production environment.
- Robotics experience, including troubleshooting and supporting robotic machinery.
- Experience with 5S implementation and maintaining organized maintenance areas.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems such as eMaint for documenting maintenance activities.
- Ability to plan and participate in preventive maintenance events.
- Comfort working voluntary overtime when available.

Work Environment
This role is based in an industrial manufacturing facility that is hot and dirty throughout much of the plant, requiring comfort working in a rugged, hands-on environment. You will work with conveyor lines, ovens, furnaces, stamping equipment, controls, drives, sensors, PLCs, and robotic machinery, using tools such as multimeters, fabrication equipment, and manual machining tools. The shift is nights from 6:45 pm to 7:15 am, operating on a 2 days on / 2 days off, 3 days on / 3 days off rotation, providing extended periods of time off. Overtime is currently unlimited and voluntary, offering flexibility for those who want additional hours. The environment emphasizes safety, organization through 5S practices, and collaboration across maintenance and production teams.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $69680.00 - $80800.00/yr.
