Established in 1909, George Junior Republic and its affiliates provide opportunities for success and wellness to the individuals, families, and communities served. GJR in PA is currently hiring two positions for the maintenance department.
Position #1 will primarily serve as a maintenance employee and Position #2 will primarily serve as a Security Technician. This position will be responsible for maintenance tasks associated with fire alarm management.
Summary of the position: This position performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled work in order to complete the maintenance requirements of all GJR properties.

Description of Duty
Routine Maintenance
- Completes all maintenance requests outlined on work orders in a timely manner.
HVAC
- Able to service and maintain HVAC equipment.
Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry
- Able to perform basic functions related to these duties.
Other
- On-call on rotating weekends.
- May be required to start work day early during inclement weather.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds on a daily basis
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, and carry heavy loads
- Must be able to work in buildings and outside as needed
EQUIPMENT and TOOLS
Equipment used on the job
Pallet jack, forklift, skid steer, backhoe, lull/lift, zero turn mowers, snow plows, trailers, table saw, radial arm saw, band saw, drill press, planer, shaper, and other power tools required to complete the job.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED
