Security Officer – Crisis Center
Location: Littleton, Colorado
Company: Iron Peak Security
Pay: $22.00 per hour, after 60 days of good attendance and work performance the pay will go up to 23.00 an hour, and an annual raise
Iron Peak Security is currently seeking two professional Security Officers to join our team at a Crisis Center located in Littleton, Colorado. This is a unique opportunity for security professionals who are committed to maintaining a safe and supportive environment while utilizing strong communication and de-escalation skills. Available Shifts
Position hours
- Sunday 8pm - 8am
- Monday 10p - 6am
- Tuesday 10pm - 6am
- Wednesday 10pm - 6am
- with opportunity for overtime.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, clients, and visitors.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property.
- Monitor and document activity throughout the shift.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies.
- Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts whenever possible.
- Work closely with facility staff to ensure a secure and professional atmosphere.
- Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity reports.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of security experience.
- Strong verbal communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Comfortable with hands-on interventions when necessary and in accordance with training and company policy.
- Must be willing to receive an annual flu vaccination or if not fill out an exception form.
- Must complete a Tuberculosis (TB) test prior to assignment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass all required background screening requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Military experience.
- Law enforcement experience.
- Behavioral health or mental health facility experience.
- Crisis intervention training or experience.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations.
