Responsibilities
\n
- \n
- Technology Evaluation & Vendor Management: Lead the analysis of alternatives, proof of concepts (PoCs) and selection of vendor technologies (e.g., Data/AI Agent Marketplace, Metadata Management, Data Observability/Audit capabilities) .
- Solution Architecture & System Integration: Design end-to-end solutions leveraging Azure services, Databricks and various vendor solutions such as, Collibra, Montecarlo, Service Now, etc.
- Implementation & Deployment: Provide technical leadership and hands-on guidance to engineering teams during the implementation and integration phases, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to drive the translation of business requirements into robust technical specifications and architectural plans.
- Performance Optimization & Observability: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platforms and solutions and associated data pipelines, designing for supportability and operational excellence.
- Documentation & Best Practices: Create comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, technical specifications, and best practices.

Required Technical Skills
\n

- 10+ years of experience in technology roles with proven delivery in complex environments,
- Deep expertise in Azure data services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2), Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Cosmos DB,
- Proficiency with Databricks platform: Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Databricks Unity Catalog for unified governance,
- Strong programming/scripting skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, Poweshell, CI/CD pipelines, for development, debugging, and automation,
- Strong knowledge of Identity & Access Management, DevOps, GitHub and Automation frameworks. Familiarity with AI/ML services, APIs, and integration patterns,
- Data management technologies: Experience in implementing tools and frameworks for metadata management, data marketplace, and data observability/audit capabilities,
- Architectural design & methodologies: Expertise in designing data architectures (e.g., Lakehouse, Medallion Architecture) and applying enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, DAMA-DMBOK),
- System integration experience: Proven ability to integrate disparate data systems and vendor technologies into a seamless ecosystem.
