Job DescriptionSalary: $25$35/hour DOE
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Handyman / Property Maintenance Technician to help prepare and maintain residential rental properties throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This position is responsible for completing turnover repairs between tenants, addressing maintenance issues, and ensuring homes are rent-ready.
Responsibilities:
- Perform minor electrical repairs such as replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures, ceiling fans, and troubleshooting basic electrical issues.
- Perform light plumbing repairs including faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, drain clogs, and fixture replacement.
- Repair drywall holes, texture walls, and complete interior painting and touch-up work.
- Install and repair doors, locks, hardware, blinds, and trim.
- Complete punch-list items during tenant move-outs and move-ins.
- Perform basic carpentry and general home repairs.
- Coordinate material purchases and maintain inventory of common supplies.
- Document completed work and communicate repair status.
- Maintain clean and safe job sites.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of residential maintenance, handyman, or property maintenance experience.
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, and carpentry.
- Ability to diagnose and solve maintenance issues independently.
- Must have own tools suitable for residential repair work.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with rental properties or property management companies.
- HVAC troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to perform make-ready services for rental homes.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
