Position Summary
We are seeking reliable, professional, and customer-focused Security Officers to join our team in Jurupa Valley / Agua-mansa, California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by conducting patrols, monitoring property, controlling access, and responding appropriately to incidents while providing exceptional customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned property on foot and/or in a company vehicle.
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized activity.
- Control access to the property by verifying visitors, vendors, and contractors.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns.
- Prepare accurate and detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs.
- Respond to emergencies and assist first responders when necessary.
- Enforce site policies and company procedures professionally and respectfully.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and clients.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and local law enforcement when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid California BSIS Guard Card (required).
- Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record (preferred).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during emergencies.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred but not required.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings throughout the shift.
Schedule
- Day, Swing, and Graveyard shifts may be available.
- Weekends and holidays may be required based on operational needs.
- Overtime opportunities may be available.
