Schedule: Multiple openings, must have occasional weekend availability

  • 1st shift - Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm
  • 3rd shift - Monday - Friday 12am - 8:30am

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to support quality and food safety initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for performing facility and process audits, assisting with sample preparation and testing, supporting quality documentation, and ensuring compliance with GMP and GLP standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, or laboratory testing who is looking to grow their career in a regulated production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality audits of manufacturing facilities, processes, and GMP practices.
  • Support work order management and quality documentation activities.
  • Assist with sample preparation, microbiological media preparation, testing, and release activities.
  • Conduct routine quality support tasks, including sampling, inspections, recordkeeping, and process checks.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Support quality control testing and analysis of products and materials.
  • Follow established GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) guidelines.
  • Escalate quality concerns and observations to the QA Supervisor as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field; OR
  • High School Diploma with relevant manufacturing or food manufacturing experience.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a food manufacturing, quality assurance, quality control, or production environment preferred.
  • Basic understanding of GMP and/or GLP requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with sample preparation, media preparation, or laboratory testing.
  • Experience in food chemistry, food science, microbiology, or quality systems.
  • Familiarity with quality audits, inspections, and compliance programs.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and manufacturing best practices.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
