Job Description
As a Hospital Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard a high profile healthcare customer. The Hospital Security Officer is responsible for the surveillance of the client’s healthcare premises and the protection of the staff, members, and visitors. A Hospital Security Professional detects and prevents any suspicious activity, observe and reports incidents, and provides customer service in a friendly and professional manner.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with staff and first responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, and general assistance while following post instructions and healthcare location protocols.
- Document incidents, observations, and/or concerns in required reports, and report maintenance, access control, and other security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
