Are you the person people call when equipment won’t cooperate? Do you enjoy diagnosing issues across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems? What you will tackle
- Keep production moving with predictive and preventive maintenance on facility and process equipment.
- Jump in on new equipment installs and commissioning.
- Complete safety and maintenance inspections with meticulous, GMP‑ready documentation.
- Respond to calls in a 24/7 manufacturing environment; share rotating on‑call responsibilities.
- Track downtime and manage spare parts so the right component is on hand when needed.
- Repair and maintain HVAC, lighting, electrical wiring, and mechanical assemblies.
- Live by LOTO, SDS/MSDS, environmental, and hot‑work rules—no shortcuts.
- Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives with a solutions mindset.
- Advance your skills through training, certifications, and hands‑on projects.
- Use a CMMS for work orders, documentation, and assigned training.
- Operate to the STERIS Code of Business Conduct, Good Manufacturing Practices, and all safety policies.
When and how you’ll work
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Thursday – Saturday with rotating Wednesdays
Pay: $30.00/hour plus $1.25/hour shift differential
Bring these qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical, or electrical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Comfort with computers for work orders, documentation, and basic software.
- Lift up to 50 lbs; strong communication skills.
- Capable of wearing a respirator; comfortable in warm/industrial environments.
Preferred
- Experience with PLCs or controls.
- Proven analytical, organizational, and math skills.
- Self-starter who adapts to changing priorities.
- Background in industrial or manufacturing settings.
Other
- Reliable, punctual, team-oriented, and detail-focused.
- Willing to support a 24/7/365 operation, including holidays.
