Sellers & Associates, LLC (S&A) is seeking an Instructional Media & Learning Technology Specialist to support U.S. Navy training initiatives through the development of high-quality digital learning products, multimedia assets, and instructional technologies. The successful candidate will collaborate with Instructional Systems Designers (ISDs), Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and government stakeholders to develop engaging instructional media that enhances classroom, virtual, and self-paced learning environments while supporting modernization of Navy training programs.

Experience Level: MID

Location: Port Hueneme, CA

Travel Allocation: 0% – 10%

Clearance: Secret (Ability to obtain and maintain)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop digital instructional media and learning assets supporting U.S. Navy curriculum development and modernization initiatives.
  • Produce, edit, and enhance instructional videos for classroom, virtual, and self-paced training environments.
  • Design graphics, infographics, animations, illustrations, and other visual learning products that support instructional objectives.
  • Convert instructor-led training materials into engaging digital learning products and multimedia resources.
  • Assist Instructional Systems Designers (ISDs) with courseware development and multimedia integration.
  • Develop job aids, visual references, and interactive learning materials to improve learner engagement and performance.
  • Prepare and optimize media assets for classroom modernization initiatives and digital learning platforms.
  • Maintain version control, organization, and quality assurance of multimedia products and digital assets.
  • Manage media libraries and support digital asset management processes.
  • Troubleshoot classroom audiovisual (AV) equipment, interactive displays, projectors, video conferencing systems, and related instructional technologies.
  • Provide technical support during pilot course deliveries, demonstrations, and training events.
  • Publish and maintain learning content within Learning Management Systems (LMS) and ensure compatibility with SCORM standards.
  • Ensure all instructional media complies with branding guidelines, accessibility requirements, and established quality standards.
  • Collaborate with government customers, SMEs, and project teams to develop innovative multimedia solutions that support mission requirements.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Instructional Technology, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Communications, Multimedia, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience supporting instructional media development, adult learning, military training, or educational technology initiatives.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Navy or Department of Defense (DoD) training environments preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with Instructional Systems Designers (ISDs) during curriculum or courseware development.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including:
    • Premiere Pro
    • After Effects
    • Photoshop
    • Illustrator
    • Audition
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with video editing, audio editing, and graphic design.
  • Photography and videography experience preferred.
  • Experience developing eLearning content using Adobe Captivate; Articulate Storyline experience preferred.
  • Experience using Camtasia for screen capture and instructional video production.
  • Basic knowledge of SCORM standards and Learning Management System (LMS) content publishing.
  • Experience supporting classroom technology, including interactive displays, projectors, audiovisual systems, video conferencing platforms, and digital signage.
  • Knowledge of ADDIE instructional design methodology.
  • Familiarity with Navy Integrated Learning Environment (ILE) and Learning Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards for digital learning products.
  • Experience organizing digital assets using metadata and content tagging practices.
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge is desirable.
  • Strong organizational, creative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Annual Salary: $75,000 - $80,000
