Job DescriptionJob Summary/Company:
A technology solutions organization supporting mission-critical government environments is seeking a System Administrator to maintain its on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. This position combines core systems administration with networking, security, troubleshooting, and infrastructure support. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance are required.
Responsibilities
- Administer Windows and Linux servers, user accounts, permissions, group policies, virtualization platforms, backups, security updates, and system-monitoring tools.
- Monitor and support cloud and data-center infrastructure, including servers, endpoints, routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, LAN/WAN environments, and network segments.
- Troubleshoot system, hardware, cloud, and network issues; perform routine audits; automate administrative tasks; and partner with security teams to identify and mitigate risks.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of systems administration or infrastructure support experience, including strong hands-on knowledge of Linux and/or Windows server environments.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V, cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and VPNs.
- Experience with PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting tools, along with familiarity with backup/recovery, vulnerability management, SIEM, and performance-monitoring platforms.
