Akron, NY
$25/hour
Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Contract-to-Hire

Join a leading manufacturer of precision sheet metal fabrication equipment and industrial automation solutions as a Technical Support Specialist. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who enjoys helping customers solve technical challenges while supporting advanced manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for CNC and machine tool products.
  • Assist customers and field service engineers with electrical, mechanical, and operational issues.
  • Diagnose equipment problems using technical manuals, engineering documentation, and product resources.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to identify and resolve software, hardware, and design-related issues.
  • Support continuous product improvement by collecting and reporting field performance data.
  • Develop repair and replacement procedures for equipment components.
  • Create and distribute technical service bulletins regarding product updates, modifications, and procedures.
  • Deliver technical training to service teams and customers on new and existing equipment.
  • Process spare parts orders as needed.
  • Maintain excellent customer relationships through professional verbal and written communication.
  • Participate in product improvement discussions and recommend solutions to enhance reliability and performance.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and manuals.
  • Knowledge of CNC machines, industrial equipment, or manufacturing machinery preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with engineering and service teams.
  • Proficient problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Technical training or relevant industry experience preferred.
