Assistant Superintendent

Sunday – Thursday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Join a growing affordable housing community seeking a hands-on Assistant Superintendent to help oversee the maintenance and day-to-day operations of a large residential property in Brooklyn.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated maintenance professional with strong building operations experience, leadership skills, and knowledge of residential systems.
What You'll Do
- Support the daily operation and maintenance of the property
- Complete apartment repairs and assist with unit turnovers
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and vendor repairs
- Monitor heating, sprinkler, and building systems
- Maintain inspection logs and ensure building compliance
- Assist with supervision of maintenance staff
- Handle work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and curb appeal throughout the property
- Respond to emergencies and after-hours issues when needed
- Use Yardi to manage purchase orders and maintenance requests
What We're Looking For
- Previous superintendent or assistant superintendent experience
- Supervisory experience required
- Active S12 and S13 certifications required
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating, and general repairs
- Experience working in residential buildings
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies
- Yardi experience is a plus
