Job Description
This position reports to the Facility / Maintenance Engineer and will provide expertise with high-speed production equipment, power transmissions, variable speed drives, servos, basic I/O, machine control and PLC's. The Maintenance Technician also contributes a wide range of maintenance support to their shift and on weekends with special emphasis on production lines and processing equipment. Pay rate is based on experience.

- Pay Rate: $21-$27.50/hour (Based off experience)
- Shift Differentials: +$2.00/hour for night shift and additional $1.25/hour for hours worked on Sunday
- Schedule: Nights 2-2-3 rotation, 6pm-6am

Job Responsibilities
\n
Essential Duties and Responsibilities, But not limited to:
\n
- \n
- Able to adjust machines such as mixers, ovens, proofers, fillers, labelers, case packers, and palletizers to maximize uptime.
- Perform preventative maintenance according to company guidelines.
- Provide technical support on production equipment as needed to ensure that lines are in operation at all times.
- Participate in the coordination and completion of capital projects that maximize the capacity of the facility. Work with contractors / vendors to complete projects.
- Perform technical problem solving and troubleshooting for all equipment and processes.
- Overhaul and replace equipment parts and motors as needed. Performs technical tasks involving hydraulics, pneumatics and some welding.
- Complete Work Orders in accordance to company guidelines on the second shift.
- Plan and complete the P.M Program and other maintenance-related programs.

Other Requirements:
\n
- \n
- Experience installing and changing a wide variety of equipment
- Proven competence in the area of electronics
- Prior food production experience HELPFUL. Knowledge of all GMP's which comply with FDA standards
- Experience in team-based environments. Self-motivated. Able to work in a fast-paced business production environment
- Adherence to all OSHA and safety standards.
- Audio and visual skills are essential
- Strong diagnostic and analytical skills
- Ability to work assigned shifts
- Good organizational skills needed to set priorities
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education and/or Experience:
\n
- \n
- High School or equivalent
- Associate's degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical or maintenance engineering preferred
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting techniques
- Light industrial maintenance preferred
- High Mechanical aptitude
- 2-3 years experience preferred
- Experience in bakery machinery a plus
- Welding is a plus
- Grasp of the English language - Bilingual a plus

Physical Environment:
\n

- Pick up and carry a weight of, but not limited to, 50 pounds.
- Work in high heat and humidity.
- Work in a cooler set at 35 to 45 degrees F.
- Climb a ladder to a height of but not limited to 40 feet.
- Work in a freezer set at -10 to 10 degrees F.

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $21.00 - $27.50 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
