Job DescriptionHardware Design EngineerPosition Summary
We are seeking a Hardware Design Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to design, develop, test, and support digital, analog, and mixed-signal electronic hardware. You'll collaborate with senior engineers throughout the product lifecycle, from concept and schematic design through prototype bring-up, testing, and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Design electronic circuits and develop schematics using Altium Designer (or equivalent).
- Support PCB bring-up, hardware debugging, and root-cause analysis.
- Perform component selection, engineering calculations, and design reviews.
- Use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, and digital multimeters.
- Prepare engineering documentation and support prototype and production builds.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
Preferred Experience
Experience in some of the following is a plus:
- Digital, analog, and mixed-signal design
- FPGA development (AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, or Microchip PolarFire)
- Embedded systems
- High-speed interfaces (Ethernet, USB, SPI, I²C, UART, PCIe, DDR, LVDS)
- PCB layout
- Python or other scripting languages
- Signal integrity fundamentals
Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- 2–5 years of hardware design experience
- Experience with Altium Designer or equivalent ECAD software
- Ability to troubleshoot electronic hardware to the component level
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- FPGA, embedded software, or PCB layout experience
- Python scripting and Git
- Medical, aerospace, or defense electronics experience
- Soldering and prototype rework experience
