Phoenix Technologies is a plastic recycling company that takes empty plastic bottles and turns them into a usable plastic pellet. We operator two plants in Bowling Green, Ohio. We are seeking Maintenance Technicians who are willing learn and will excel.
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician for Phoenix Technologies International, LLC manufacturing facility in Bowling Green, Ohio, you will be responsible for performing mechanical and electrical maintenance for breakdowns, scheduled projects and PM’s.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Troubleshoot and diagnose cause of mechanical, electrical or instrument malfunction or failure of operational equipment and make the necessary repairs in a safe and timely manner.
- Disassemble/ Repair machinery and equipment (gearboxes, pumps, valves, etc)
- Read technical manuals/diagrams to install or troubleshoot mechanical/ electrical equipment.
- Conduct PM’s on production equipment on a regular basic.
- Experience with various hand/ power tools and electrical testing equipment.
- Self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated proficiency to achieve high quality in all work.
- Comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State, and Federal Occupational Safety, and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience, education or training: 1-3 years in a manufacturing maintenance preferred.
- Electrical experience a plus but not required.
- Would prefer a candidate with a plastic extrusion experience.
- Follow company policies and established procedures
- Maintain clean work area.
- Follow directions, yet able to develop ideas and solutions on your own.
- Able to complete tasks in a safe and timely manner.
- Reliability and can work overtime if necessary.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout shift.
