Job DescriptionSalary: $12 - $13 Hourly
Job Overview:
The Maintenance position for Kiroli Park provides labor and support for all maintenance projects as needed to include repairs, preventative maintenance, set up for events and regular cleanup/trash removal.
Specific Tasks, Duties, & Responsibilities:
- Trash removal and trail maintenance within the park system
- Cleaning all restrooms thoroughly
- Coordinating and supervising community service tasks
- General maintenance and repairs on playground equipment, bridges, shelters, structures, requiring light carpentry work with various tools
- Assisting other areas with any needs, requests, or complaints
- Attentive to the public/monitor inappropriate behavior and communicate with park goers when park rules are in violation
- Setting up, cleaning and taking down for park events and shelter rentals
- Mowing and groundskeeping
- Irrigation repair
- General maintenance of all city parks
- Christmas light set up and take down
- All other duties as assigned
Worker Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Valid drivers license required
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Able to comprehend, retain, and carry out instructions, as well as anticipate logistics
- Able to multitask
- Sound knowledge of safety measures and risk management strategies
- Organizational and time management skills
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Capable of performing physical labor, some of which can be demanding
- Able to constantly stand, walk, bend, and reach for items (may be repetitive motions)
- Able to lift, push/pull a weight of up to 50lbs+
- Withstand exposure variable temperatures (including extreme hot/cold)
- Perform job around various elements (i.e., animals, dust, and allergens)
Hours/Scheduling:
- Varying hours including evenings and weekends
