We are seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our team at a skilled nursing facility in Jefferson City, Missouri. This role supports the overall safety, functionality, and appearance of the facility to ensure a comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist with routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
· Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks throughout the facility
· Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents
· Maintain outdoor areas, including light landscaping, snow removal, and grounds upkeep
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and facility policies
· Assist with room turnovers and preparation for new residents
· Keep maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized

Requirements:
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Previous maintenance or handyman experience is a plus
· Basic knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC)
· Ability to use hand and power tools safely
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Must be dependable with a strong work ethic
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
· Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching
· Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
