Expected starting salary range: $134,060.10 - $165,567.54. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Will Do to Change Lives

\n

The Administrator provides overall operational, clinical, and financial leadership for the program and plays a vital role in advancing Telecare's mission. This leader oversees day-to-day operations while ensuring excellence across Telecare's Four Pillars of Performance: Clinical Quality, Workforce Engagement, Customer Satisfaction, and Financial Security.

\n

The Administrator leads a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering exceptional client care while partnering with corporate departments, community stakeholders, county and state agencies, consultants, and consumer advocacy groups to ensure program success.

\n

The Administrator partners closely with corporate departments, outside consultants, state and county agencies, community organizations, and consumer advocacy groups to ensure program success. This position participates in a structured on-call rotation. While on call, the Administrator must remain accessible and respond to operational issues within established response time expectations.

\n

Telecare Kern Adult Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) is a 16-bed acute inpatient facility for adults 18+ experiencing a mental health illness related emergency. Admission is voluntary or involuntary (5150).

\n

The Ideal Candidate

\n

You are an experienced behavioral health leader who combines operational discipline with genuine compassion for those living with serious mental illness. You inspire high-performing teams, build strong partnerships with county and community stakeholders, and lead with accountability, humility, and a commitment to recovery-oriented care.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

\n

    \n
  • Master's degree in Social Services or related field with applicable state licensure
  • \n

  • Four years of experience in an administrative management position in a health care setting
  • \n

  • Two years of responsibility for supervision of professional staff, budgeting, program planning, and licensing
  • \n

  • Understanding of community mental health services, psychiatric rehabilitation concepts, and the recovery philosophy of care
  • \n

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • \n

  • Current (or ability to obtain upon hire) CPR, First Aid, and CPI certification
  • \n

  • Valid driver's license, proof of personal automobile insurance, and willingness to use a personal vehicle for local business travel (mileage reimbursed at the current IRS rate)
  • \n

Additional Requirements

\n

All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment.
