Technical Manager – Aircraft Engines

We're recruiting a Technical Manager to join a growing aviation aftermarket business specialising in the management and trading of commercial aircraft engine assets.

\n


\n

This is an excellent opportunity to lead a small Technical Services team while taking ownership of engine records, repair management, inventory strategy and technical support across a diverse portfolio of commercial aircraft engines.

\n


\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Lead a team responsible for Technical Records and Repair Administration.
  • \n

  • Oversee back-to-birth documentation and engine records.
  • \n

  • Manage repair orders and monitor shop visit activity.
  • \n

  • Review engine shop visit reports and maintenance documentation.
  • \n

  • Develop inventory strategies across all engine product lines, ensuring assets are utilised to maximise value.
  • \n

  • Evaluate repair versus exchange options and make recommendations to achieve the best commercial and technical outcome.
  • \n

  • Assess engine material availability and determine the most effective use of inventory and repair resources.
  • \n

  • Work closely with Sales, Purchasing and Operations to optimise engine assets and support commercial decision-making.
  • \n

  • Drive process improvements and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • \n

\n

What We're Looking For

\n

    \n
  • 3–5 years' experience in Technical Services, Engine Records, Technical Asset Management or a similar engine-focused aviation role.
  • \n

  • Strong aircraft engine background with knowledge across multiple commercial engine product lines.
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of aircraft engine documentation, repair processes and inventory management.
  • \n

  • Experience interpreting engine shop visit reports.
  • \n

  • Knowledge of commercial engine platforms such as CF34, CF6, CFM56, V2500 and/or PW4000.
  • \n

  • Previous team leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • \n
